How many times over the last year have you heard the words “the World’s gone mad”?  I seems just about every country is in chaos, and our weather is absurd!
Difficult for me to say that actually, as I have always tried to remain positive in all situations, but actually the chaos is getting through to most of us, and our spirits are being bombarded by a constant drip of negativity. It is very hard not to let it in.

So what can we do?

It’s not just the sensitives and empaths who need to find ways to protect our quivering energies.

You’ll have already read tons of articles on the importance to take time out to pray, meditate, exercise, get into nature, practice yoga, and so on, but I’ve realised that the key to all of this is as simple as listening to our inner voice. Doing the things that make you feel good, better, best!

Here are a few things you could try?

Walk away. When you need to get away from people talking about ‘stuff’ you don’t like, then walk away, and if you can, do it with a smile rather than allowing the situation to entice you.

Learn to breathe. Seriously, nearly all of us have a habit of breathing through our mouths. In the Sunday Times Bestseller ‘Breath’, James Nestor gives medical evidence of how re-learning to breathe through the nose will create a healthier and calmer you!

Meditate. Taking just a few minutes a day away from your smartphone and closing your eyes, (and breathing), with or without calm music, and connecting to the Divine Light within, is hugely beneficial. Just ask anyone who regularly meditates. You can start with just a couple of minutes. Honestly.

Pray. Ask God to surround you with angels for protection from negative energies, and for the strength to remain grounded and not shaken by world events. If you don’t have a particular spiritual belief then simply talk to your highest self, and use affirmations such as ‘I am safe and well and remain positive in all situations ‘ to help you stay on track.

Be gracious. Gratitude is healing, uplifting, and immensely positive. Whether you use a diary for making lists of all the things you are grateful for, or just looking around in nature and saying ‘Thank you” to the Universe, our gratitude in life stimulates all the right hormones and chemicals that lift our spirits and enable us to feel better.

Develop one extra good habit. For example, I always try to start the day by reading or listening to something positive. In fact over the recent months, I’ve been blessed by being invited to do several interviews about working with angels with fab positive professional people to be shared around the world.
